Prevention is the best medicine. And that’s no different for a custom conference table. The easiest way to keep your table clean and looking brand-new is to protect it.

Here’s what we recommend:

• Clean up any spills right away. It’s best to provide coasters for beverages and keep towels or napkins close by.
• Don’t put any hot items directly on the table.  Coffee pots or chafing dishes can cause damage. Use a trivet, plate, or rack.
• Provide a blotter or placemat for everyone using the table. Scratches appear on wood over time but jewelry, tableware, and electronics can all do more-than-normal wear and tear.  Deep scratches or gouges can be repaired – just call us to find the best way to go about this.
• Never use any kind of wax or oil. Both of these will form a greasy layer on top of the finish and make the table look bad.  The easiest way to find out the best care advice for your new furniture is just to email us and ask!

For normal cleaning, wiping down our tables with a soft rag is best.  Make sure the rag is slightly damp and wipe away any crumbs or dirt. We don’t recommend any kind of abrasive scourer or cleaner. If your custom conference table has severe damage, call us for advice as how best to handle this and we’ll be happy to help!
