Every now and then a client wants a nice table with a glass cover. That’s not too complicated unless there are power/data hatches in the top. This is an example of how to handle that scenario: the hatches are raised 1/4″ above the rest of the table surface, and the glass is custom cut to precisely fit around the openings. For unknown reasons, glass fabricators have a hard time hitting precise dimensions, so we don’t build the tables until we have received the glass. That way we can ensure a perfect fit. The table is made of walnut with plain sliced walnut veneers.
